Is your Descoware looking dull? Did you find a neat piece of Le Creuset or Kobenstyle in the thrift shop, but was put off by the discoloring on the inside? Relax. All you need is bleach, water, and some time.
Fill your pot with water, add a capful of bleach, put the lid on it and go out on the town for the evening (dinner and dancing? The Theater or symphony). Enjoy life and don't worry about your pot.
The next morning, while perking your coffee or nursing your hangover, take the lid off your pot and Zoweee!!! You'll be amazed by how clean it is.
Needless to say, you need to use good old plain bleach: Not any of this scented bleach or bleach with soap, or whatever they're doing with bleach these days. And run the pot through your dishwasher or whatever method you use to wash dishes. And dry it well: Cast Iron cookware can pit and rust easily. If you must nest it, put s paper towel between. I don't know if it does any good, but it makes you feel like you're doing something.
Yes, bleach. It can do so much: From whitening your whites to brightening your pots, to sabotaging the possessions of your enemies. Just don't mix it with Comet - it creates a toxic gas that doesn't even give you a buzz.
