I loved your write-up on the Fontenelle Hotel. I lived in Omaha from 1978 to 1986. I was a commercial photography student at Metro Tech and shot a LOT of film downtown, in the Old Market, warehouse district, around the train stations, etc. I didn't have an opportunity to go into the Fontenelle when they had the liquidation, but I DID wander around with my camera when they did it at the Blackstone. At least they didn't tear IT down. Anyway, I've got a cool silk screen print of the crown of the Fontenelle in my office. It's held up well for being 30 years old, but I'm thinking I should make a scan.
